Halifax Board of Selectmen appointed Krystal Kingsley to school committee vacancy. Kingsley was selected from four applicants following a public interview in a vote of 4-0 with Board Chair Thomas Pratt abstaining; she will serve a term expiring May 15, 2027. The Board unanimously reappointed Brooks & DeRensis, P.C. as Town Counsel through June 30, 2027.

Superintendent Dr. Jill Proulx reported approximately $700,000 in special education reimbursements returning to the district from Circuit Breaker programs, a one-time surplus she characterized as temporary and unlikely to recur.
