HALIFAX — Board of Selectmen voted 2-1 to appoint Michael Brogan as uncompensated town planner, with Chair Thomas Pratt opposed. The appointment came after a legal review prompted by an Open Meeting Law complaint about the April discussion. Brogan will provide approximately three hours per week of planning assistance as nonvoting staff to the Planning Board.
The Board also approved take-home vehicle policies for four town positions (Building Commissioner/ZEO, 2-1; others unanimously) and affirmed $1.3 million in warrants and commitments.
