Halifax Board unanimously approved an interim town administrator and police union contracts. The Board appointed Darleen Sullivan as Interim Town Administrator for the period August 31, 2026 through June 30, 2027. The Board also unanimously approved three-year memoranda of agreement with Local 239, representing patrol officers, and Local 459, representing police sergeants, both effective July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2029.
In other business, the Board appointed Jean Galant to the Halifax Cultural Council, approved ambulance abatements totaling $23,933.66 for July, discussed potential consolidation of holiday-related committees pending legal review, and agreed to maintain the temporary Fourth Avenue boat ramp closure through Labor Day.
