Board approves setback variances for Plymouth Street property

HALIFAX — Board of Health approves setback variances for Plymouth Street property. The Board unanimously approved local-upgrade variances allowing a reduction from 400 feet to 360 feet for a sanitary absorption system setback and from 400 feet to 353 feet for a septic tank setback at 151 and 151A Plymouth Street, exempting the property from State Sanitary Code requirements. Chair Pamela Engstrom, Vice Chair Candice Greene, and Clerk David Hatch voted unanimously.
The board also unanimously nominated Sonya Silva as Halifax Inspector of Animals for the period beginning May 1, 2026.
