HALIFAX — Board of Assessors votes for new chair, formalizes Principal Assessor appointment. Robert Mullen replaced Dottie Lamoureux as chair by a 2-1 vote following a discussion of governance and communication among board members. The board also formally appointed Caroline Vogt as Principal Assessor and authorized Lamoureux to accompany her to the Board of Selectmen to seek Step 2 placement and vacation-accrual adjustment.

In operational matters, the board completed public disclosure and recertification activities, including corrections to property records on Old Plymouth Street and Elm Street with valuation impacts under 10 percent, and set a September 8 date for the Fiscal Year 2027 Classification Hearing pending state approval. The board authorized temporary office closure during Vogt's August vacation.
