Board of Health appoints Silva Animal Inspector, approves permits

Halifax Board of Health approves 38 annual permits and appoints Animal Inspector Silva. At the January 21 meeting, Pamela Engstrom, Chair, and David Hatch, Clerk, voted unanimously to appoint Sonya Silva as Animal Inspector and approved a comprehensive permit slate including 15 food and retail establishments, six septage haulers, nine septic installers, six Title V inspectors, and a large outdoor event permit. Vice Chair Candice Greene was absent.
The board also approved routine expenses including $583.33 in nursing services and $255 in plan review invoices for three property sites.
