Conservation Commission · Meeting of May 12, 2026
The Halifax Conservation Commission approved two projects in wetland buffer zones and continued review of three others. The board unanimously approved a 1.5-megawatt solar array at 69 Summit Street with vegetation clearing and fencing within 100 feet of a bordering vegetated wetland, and a single-family home at 59 Paradise Lane with grading and septic systems in the Monponsett Pond buffer. Chair John Guiod conducted site visits for both.
Conservation Agent Dan Levesque noted erosion control measures for the solar site. The commission continued to May 26 two phases of the Amanda's Way duplex development pending engineering review and a tree-topping application at 399 Elm Street pending an arborist's plan. Revised fee schedules were also approved.
