Halifax Finance Committee approved fiscal year 2026 closeout transfers and salary reserve funding. The Committee voted to approve multiple FY2026 line-item transfers for stormwater management, utilities, clerical wages, general counsel, and police accounts, citing increased utility expenditures and legal costs from collective bargaining negotiations. Finance Director Lindsay Martinelli confirmed all FY2026 invoices had been received prior to closeout.

The Committee unanimously approved a $48,762 Reserve Fund transfer for contractual salary obligations and scheduled a July 15 virtual meeting to address Library transfer documentation and remaining fiscal year closings. Town Administrator Steven Solbo reported Halifax will receive approximately $730,000 in Circuit Breaker reimbursement from the Silver Lake Regional School District.
