Board of Selectmen · Meeting of March 24, 2026

Halifax Selectmen unanimously approve beer and wine license for Plymouth Street retailer. The Board of Selectmen voted 3-0 to grant Vishveshwara Corp. d/b/a Halifax Beer Wine & Smoke a license for 355 Plymouth Street, with Manager Ankitkumar Patel at the helm. The store will operate 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. with an electronic ID scanner.

During the public hearing, residents Tina Alger and Chris Winiewicz raised concerns about traffic on Route 106, with Alger citing weekend congestion from her nearby driveway. The Board also unanimously appointed Matthew Campbell to the Agricultural Commission and David Fryer to the Zoning Board of Appeals, both for terms expiring June 30, 2029, and authorized a search for a Health Agent.
