The Halifax Conservation Commission approved a determination allowing tree removal at 399 Elm Street and delayed decisions on two residential projects at Amanda's Way. The board unanimously authorized a positive determination of applicability for owner Tom Ghilardi, requiring him to submit a Notice of Intent before removing approximately 28 100-foot pine trees that pose a safety risk to his house. The trees are located near a wetland buffer zone triggering environmental review.
The commission postponed hearings for two duplex projects at Amanda's Way, both involving the same wetland protection area, until June 9 after applicant Brad White requested continuances pending engineering review.
