Halifax records eight deed transfers in late July, most with sale prices undisclosed
Eight properties in Halifax recorded deed transfers between July 24 and Aug. 22, but only two listed a sale price: $450 for 83 McClelland Rd. and $660 for 350 Elm St., yielding a median of $555 across the disclosed sales. The Elm Street sale, from Joseph T. Hite to William Theodore McLaughlin and Chloe Smith, was the highest disclosed transaction. Five of the eight deeds involved matching family names between seller and buyer, often into a family trust, a pattern that lines up with the lack of disclosed pricing on those transfers. With price data available for only a quarter of recorded sales, the period's data offers limited visibility into local market conditions.
