Board of Library Trustees · Meeting of August 10, 2026

Halifax library board authorized Director Dylan Benoit to work a hybrid schedule with up to five hours of remote work per week. Trustee Erin Nagle moved the motion, seconded by Trustee Tina Palmer; it passed 5-1 with Trustee Sue Vogt opposed. The August 10 emergency meeting addressed clarifications about trustee roles and responsibilities, board conduct and professionalism, and the boundaries between trustee oversight and the director's day-to-day management of library staff.

The board noted the director had completed more than one year in position and will conduct a formal performance review in the fall.
