HALIFAX — The Halifax Conservation Commission deadlocked 2-2 on recommending Steve Goodman's return as a full member, leaving the final call to the Select Board. Chair John Guiod and member Edward Lane voted yes; Co-Chair Paul Doucette and member Kathy Evans voted no, citing Goodman's lack of attendance since his associate appointment last July. Goodman said he would "make attendance... a priority" going forward.
Separately, the board issued a negative determination for landscaping at 105 Palmer Mill Road after debating chain-link fencing near a wetland buffer, and continued hearings for 16 Old Summit Street, 17/17A Ocean Avenue and 539 Plymouth Street to September 8, the last after resident Chris Winiewicz raised questions about undocumented grading and site-plan compliance.
