Halifax Planning Board Requires Full Plan Revision for Plymouth Street Storage Site
HALIFAX -- April 16, 2026, Halifax Planning Board unanimously orders a full plan resubmission for a storage facility under construction at 318 Plymouth Street, granting a 45-day extension to allow the developer's engineer to comply. Board member Amy True argued that the partial five-sheet drawing set filed for a site plan modification did not meet the requirements of Halifax zoning bylaw Section 167-28, which mandates a full plan showing lot lines, building dimensions, topography, and drainage. Developer's engineer Gary James acknowledged the deficiency and agreed to consolidate the original approved plan set with the revised sheets into a single properly numbered packet for the town's permanent record. The 5-0 roll-call vote sets a deadline of approximately May 31, 2026, clear of the May 16 Town Meeting. The board also heard that a previously flagged ADA cross-slope violation at 314 Plymouth Street has been corrected after three attempts, and it approved two PGB Engineering invoices totaling $625.35 for March review services.
